WHen an aircraft is flying part 135 they are in the system as

TN1234 vs just N1234

Anyone know wnat LN1234 would be?

What is the L vs the T ?

"L" stands for "lifeguard".

As far as "T" goes, it stands for "taxi" (air taxi).

I don't think many people used "T" before 9/11. I know we didn't.

Hope this helps.

There was a cargo outfit out of KIWA that would always use the Tango prefix on their 310s. Used to hear them all the time.

Yeah, I'd hear the two of them take off and check in with PHX about 10 minutes after I'd launch out of Chandler-Stellar in my 207. In fact, (off the top of my head going to the way-back machine of 1995), one of the 310s callsign was Tango November 8139M.
