call sign Maco, Mako, Mayco, Maaco??

I do desperately need my car painted but I am actually curious who uses this call sign. I heard them declare an emergency today for a cabin fire. We changed frequency and I want to check that they made it safely.

Heard them also. They originally diverted to KCGI. They apparently got whatever the issue was resolved, and got a new clearance to KVQQ without ever landing.

Anyone know what military birds fly out of KVQQ?

MAKO is used by the Navy for their old King Air 90s returning from an avionics overhaul. I see them coming in to Corpus Christi NAS occasionally.

Can confirm. Saw one last month, funny thing is the Navy controllers were asking who he was. Almost seemed like they thought the aircraft didn't belong there.
