Calculating Time before Inspection

Can anyone tell me how to calculate the TBI,I always forget how to do it on the signout sheet at my flying club.

Is it more complicated than subtracting the airframe time from the time that the inspection is due?

Depends on the inspection. Are we talking about the one that ensures the front doesn't fall off, or is this something else?

It something where there is a set number in the log book like something like 15690.5 hours or something(maybe the set number the inspection must be done after so many hours?) and then you subtract it from another number maybe the flight time, im not sure but gives you the TBI.
