CAL Announcement????

For the sake of keeping it real.....um....no.

I disagree, there is no reason Colgan can't be the next place to be. If the pilots fight to get the pay and work rules they deserve then it just may be. The only problem is that usually they get to be "the place to be" with ultra low costs and sub-standard wages. Look at Southwest a few decades ago, maybe RAH depending on how you look at it, etc... Now look at Comair, XJT, Air Whiskey, Eagle, etc... Not saying these are bad places to be just saying not alot of movement and things aren't exactly looking great. Now whether this is because of their industry leading contacts? I dunno... I hope not but it makes you think..

Our director of training told us straight up in ground school that it will be a miracle if we don't have to hire street captains for the Qs because of the minimums of 3500hrs.

There are quite a few captains right now who don't even meet the 2500hrs now needed for the Saab.
