Enjoy!

Are you in that unit Windchill?
My cousin has been a pilot there for about 5 years now. In fact, he is on a trip right now so that may well be him in the seat!

Yep ... going on 9 years this summer. I had a UPT slot for the Galaxy back in '03, but DQd on the flying physical due to a lazy eye. I have great vision, but oh well ... the dream that got away. I must say the Guard's been good to me and I love my unit/section.

Nice pics!

So, do you think the aircraft burned through one year's-worth your of income tax payments before, or after it got airborne.

Sorry to hear about the UPT miss:( I do miss the AF though! What are you doing now? I was considering going to visit the unit and possibly take an FE position if the civvy world is gonna suck for a while. Just tossing it around right now though.

That's an awesome plane. I used to live on Yokota AFB and they had a running track that paralleled the runway/taxiway. I just so happened to be behind one as it turned onto the runway. I almost laid down and held onto the grass to keep from blowing away. Great shots!

If you are thinking about doing the FE thing, you ought to think about KSKF. You may not get a full time slot right off the bat, but we have several ART positions at the school house for IFs...

Well, we only burn about 5,000 pounds an hour at idle and about 20-30K at cruise...so it's fairly cheap!!! :sarcasm:

Just the APUs burn 10 pounds a minute!!!

you make it sound like you have some in depth knowledge about this plane. how'd that come about? ;):laff:

Hey! I just applied to the 167th AW for a C-5 UPT slot. I'm still waiting to hear if I'll be lucky enough to get an interview or not. I think the board meets in April for that.
