Bye bye Cuba

Hell, July in rural Central Florida, which I absolutely loathe, is hell both culturally and meteorologicaly.

If my damned father in law didn't live there, you could nuke it from orbit and I wouldn't blink.

Had a Captain ask me where I lived:

'Atlanta.'

'Oh I'm real sorry to hear that (which I find of rude to say to a stranger, but whatever, airline pilot).'

'How about you?'

'Oh, a town you've never heard of, about 35 miles north of Tallahassee.'

:confused::rolleyes:

Oh god. Tell him to kiss your black ass.

"PHX? Ain't Arizona got a state income tax? Dallas ain't got one"

"But your entire taxable footprint is YOOOOJ and, well, being half-Texan, no thanks"

Is it not in fact hotter than Hades there though?

Dallas does have something we are lacking here....

America's Team.

Except for the fact that Romo was so fragile.

His successor is doing a pretty good job though.

Having spent a year in a Phoenix, I'll take 114 there over 90 in Florida any day. I can do heat, but humidity just kills me. Used to shower, walk to the mailbox, and then have to shower again in Florida whereas in AZ I would walk around campus all day with no problem.

Having spent time in Florida, Arizona, Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan...

Worst place I ever had to live as far as comfort was the Philippines. The weather there literally destroyed my uniforms in 6 months.

I am the exact opposite. I can't do the dry heat like that. I spent a summer in Phoenix, and my grandparents lived in Havasu. The heat gets oppressive. I spent 4 years on the Treasure Coast in FL, and loved every minute of it, and I worked outside at the time.
