Man I had a electrical fire one day and we put it down there. Sat there for 4 hours waiting for someone to show up. Not a single plane came either....

Not a whole heck of a lot of activity out there. Almost akin to landing at Chandler-Memorial field.

Every time I have tried to go there for cheap gas it has been swamped. Rather pay the big bucks at AVQ or RYN than risk a midair.

I’m curious what their ops per day was around 2004-2008.

Back in the day '89-'99 it was probably around 10. Now that I am back flying GA in southern AZ chasing Customs/Guard helos I avoid it like the plague. If I am transitioning west of CGZ I am at 100' agl. Surprised there has never been a midair in the "stack." You young guys are much braver than I, re "old and bold."

Deland FL, DED, has that almost tied at 322/day on Airnav (Even restricted to no touch-goes when 3 or more in pattern.)

In the beforetimes I would specifically forbid my student pilots from going into Deland. In addition to all the traffic, half the time the jump plane was using the crossing runway for no good reason and the jumpers had their 'chutes dragging across the favored.
