"Bumping the runway"

My favorite captain taught me to read the performance slip to make sure it makes sense. Hasn't caught anything yet, but I am sure it's bound to.

Yeah, it's like those airplanes you see in recurrent that flew like 6 legs with a tail strike, or a static port covered with tape from maintenance.
 
I have caught passenger numbers come back different from the load sheet a few times because math is hard.
100% true. Or when they have more people on the zone field than seats in the zone.

soooo many stories for over beer. I just got done flying with a dude who’s going to upgrade next month and I think I might have frightened him a little bit with the “oh you might want to watch for this” stuff.

Good on you for doing that. My last trip in the right seat was with a check airman. I asked for all the info I could get.
 
I frequently have the thought when I turn around “When did I eat corn?”
It's kinda like a bookmark.
