I went on a buddy pass from Orlando to Philly a while back to play a few amazing golf courses. I was offered first class upgrade for a whopping $20 I drank $20 worth of jack Daniels before wheels up. On the way home my neighbor was the captain, surprised us both. Got a nice tour of the A321 cockpit.

Not that this helps your situation but I wanted to share a positive BP story. It was awesome.

Burning more fuel on the ground during a taxi will lower your TOW. If you need 150lbs to get some on tell get dispatch to add 150 lbs more into taxi and out of something like contingency. Its up to you to know if you've used it on the taxi or not.
