Needed to pick up some time this month so Brussels it was... of course, no BRU layover can be complete without a stop at Delerium Cafe (over 2000 different beers sold).

Mussels in Brussels? :D Is that Big Mac sauce on those? Nice pics! Did you enhance them at all? The second picture down it looks like a couple of the people are almost transparent - not sure if my hunger is making me hallucinate. :confused:
 
Awesome photos man. I'm sitting here green with envy, but then I remember that I'm doing a three-day TXL followed by a four-day NCE starting tomorrow! ;)
 
How do you like the roadside waffle stands? Brussels was a great visit when I was there.
 
I'm off until the 22 then FCO, LYS, BRU (again), and VCE all in a row....

all the pictures have been through photoshop, the 1st 3 had more effort put into them then the last 2.... 1st 3 are all HDR (3 pictures of the same thing, but different exposures, blended together)

... and the waffles...amazing! You can smell the stand a mile away and you can't resist!
 
Nice shots. I'm sitting here green with envy, but then I remember that I'll still be sitting here harboring much envy, followed by some more envious feelings tomorrow!
 
Awesome pictures. I visited Brussles in 6th grade... Not a great destination for kids IMO... Wouldn't mind visiting now though. Brussles was like a clean version of Paris...

I can set my camera to take 3 bracketed pictures in just a second or two. That's fast enough that any movement on the trees/clouds won't show up but sometimes people move just enough that the ghosting happens when blending the exposures. If I were overzealous I could clone that person right out of the picture in photoshop but these are just for fun....
 
I'm heading over to BRU on Monday. It's one city that I haven't had the opportunity to check out yet. Can't wait to grab a few beers and dig into some "moules frites".

Go to Delirium and try a Kwak. Drinking out of the Kwak glass is worth the price of admission.

Swung by there this afternoon and certainly was not disappointed! Definitely enjoyed the Kwak...tossed back 3 or so and then my boss and I headed around the corner to Aux Armes de Bruxelles for Moules Frites. I still have another day/night to explore so there's a good chance I'll be back there again!
