Bruce Everett aerobatic training at KLOM

Is anybody familiar with Bruce Everett, the aerobatics instructor based at Wings Field, KLOM, on the north side of Philadelphia?

I've got a couple flights scheduled with him in a few days and was just wondering what he's like. From the phone conversations I've had with him, he sounds very experienced and professional. He owns and teaches in a Citabria and Pitts S2B. I'll be flying his Citabria to start with...might do a flight or two in the Pitts later.

While I'm on this topic, does anyone have any tips for me as I start aerobatic training? Anything I can do or read to make the lessons more effective? I'm mainly looking to become good enough at aerobatics that I can rent an aerobatic plane and safely play with it on my own. In the future it'd be cool to compete or teach aerobatics...although I'm not sure I have enough money for practice to reach that level.

Bruce is retired acrobatic competitor I believe 1998 unlimited category us top dog. He's a good guy and you'll have some fun.

Yeah, I think he mentioned that when I first called him. He listed off all the competitions he'd won, how many thousands of hours total time and instruction time he had, and some other accomplishments, and I pretty much said...uhhhhh...ok, sounds good to me!

I wasn't looking for anybody too elite when I started looking for instructors, but he's the closest guy to me, and he's definitely qualified, so I'm going with him.
