Breaks over

After an almost 3 year medical leave from work I am finally headed back to training. I got my SI back around mid January. Initially it was issued as a 2nd class and I went and got my 1st Class shortly after.

I will be driving over to CLT today to do my return to work basic indoc course. That lasts 5 days. Then towards the end of the month I will be headed to DFW to do the entire Airbus course. It has been over 3 years since I have flown the Airbus. I chose DFW as my base for now.

To be honest I am a bit nervous about the whole process. But at the same time I've done all of this before so I look forward to it. It has certainly been a roller coaster of a ride the last few years but there has been great support from a lot of people.

I look forward to seeing you all around the friendly skies.

Well as of May 1st I am done with all the training and OE. Things went well in the procedures and sim training. Had a great sim partner. It was a bit overwhelming at first but no major issues.

There were a lot of changes that happened while I was out but I am figuring it out as we go along. Got a bit of a laugh when the first leg of OE was DFW-EYW. The check airman was not happy they sent us there.

Hope to see you all out and about.

Glad to hear you are back flying... even if you had to start with a flight like that.
