I was wondering if anyone had any experiance with the Bose AE2 headset or the Bose QuietComfort 15 headset... I'm thinking of buying one and I was wondering if it is worth the extra money to get the newer one...

QC 15's are awesome. I would say they are only worth it if you have the extra cash.

Well I have the A20s but I was wanting a noise canceling headset for commuting, and just using my media devices...

Spend the same amount on a pair of IEMs (as long as you can deal with things in your ears). They'll sound better and isolate at least as well.

I'm not a fan of things in my ears (like ear buds) I like the idea of uflymike but I already own Bose A20 and it works really well.. I just need something for music and media...

They are pretty decent headphones. My ears are starting their old age precipitous decline though. Be18's, Rolling Stone concerts and amplifiers in my car measured in kilowatts have taken their predictive (but ignored) toll. If I could go back in time.......

I use the A20's and love them... They're my first ANRs, but I feel like they REALLY go through batteries quickly - about two 4day trips and it's time to switch them out.

After further reading I found out one is noise canceling and the other isn't.... Boy do I feel dumb.... I thing I'm going to get the qc 15's you can get them refurbished for abut 270$

I don't; I bought the 40-pack AAs from Costco for about 15 bucks.

I'd say that probably has something to do with it. :)

I use the A20's as a CFI and I've only had to switch them out twice since new and I've put about 150 hours onto them (average is 6hrs/day), using the typical silver colored Energizers.

The QC15s rock. The only downfall is that they burn through batteries pretty quick. I put lithiums in them and switch them out after maybe 20 hours. I've tried regular alkalines, but they can give the juice i need for really noisy planes like the beaver.

Yeah, beavers need the juice. I also switched to lithium batteries, but I get maybe 30 hours before they start blinking.

Did you notice better ANR with the switch to lithiums? Or just longer lasting? The BE99 is so freaking loud my Uflymikes get overpowered sometimes.
