TV star Mo'Nique got kicked off a United Airlines flight Sunday after getting into a spat with a flight attendant, and this time the comedian isn't laughing - she's crying racism.

"I felt like I was being treated like an animal," said the 38-year-old celebrity, whose seldom-used full name is Mo'Nique Imes-Hicks. "This happens to black people all the time, and they don't have a voice. I have a voice."

The "Phat Girlz" actress, rumored to be in line to replace Star Jones on "The View," told the Daily News the incident started when her hair stylist stashed a hair dryer in a first-class bin. While Mo'Nique was flying in the front of the cabin, her aide was in coach.

The "Showtime at the Apollo" host said she tried to keep her cool when a flight attendant first questioned the stylist's actions. But things escalated when another flight attendant allegedly refused to believe the beauty tool belonged to Mo'Nique.

"Tell your people that the next time they have an attitude, they are being thrown off. ... Since 9/11, we don't play around," one flight attendant allegedly told Mo'Nique. "Are you equating my hair dryer with 9/11?" Mo'Nique said she retorted.

And when white folks get kicked off their flights, do they scream its because they are white? I can't stand people like that, especially her.

Good for that flight attendant (trolly dolly). I would like to shake her hand.

But come on she is a celebrity.... it is necessary that she be treated as queen :sarcasm:

Yes mo'nique, you got kicked off of your flight because you're black.

can we merge this into the 14 year old thread? She's being racist by assuming that this is happening to her because of her race. she needs to stfu and de-apostrophize her name

I am still trying to figure out why she was believe that she was treated like an animal?

Speaking of animal, not very nice to be sitting in 1st class & then having your personal assistant sitting in coach, talk about treating your staff like an animal:nana2: or, if your personal assistant was white, would that be racism?

Just a thought?

Sounds mean but..

I hope the door hit her on the way out of the plane. Wonder if she'll use that card on the next airline she uses when she doesn't get a bag of peanuts and a coke "OMG I'M BEING TREATED LIKE AN ANIMAL!!"

if she had told her she was a celebrity, would she have gotten the window seat? ;)

Even better: "If you're really a celebrity, I'd know who you are, but I don't so take your seatbelt extender and sit the hell down!"

Im sure MoNique made this statement up. What an idiot. Im sure there is a lot more to this story the MoNique isnt telling.

That's funny, I have seen those before and have actually heard of two being needed one time.

Talked to a firefighter before at DEN that told us a story about a guy getting stuck on a 727 and couldn't get out of the plane. Couldn't fit back out of the door he came in on and they ended up having to let them go down the stairs in the rear of the plane where he proceeded to get stuck. I guess they had to slime him up and jelly roll his butt off the plane.

Wow. I cannot imagine how humiliating that had to be for him.

Why would she need her hairdryer on a flight? Was she thinking of styling her hair sometime during the flight?

I like it how she wants a boycott of United, but still used United on her 2nd attempt to fly. bleh..

"I won't [fly United again], and I hope no other black person will fly them either," she told the Daily News after venting her frustration on WBLS' "The Steve Harvey Morning Show."cco
