Bonus withholdings?

I understand all of that. I've been running a payroll for a few years now. You don't know how much you made for the year? Most people have a general idea of how much they make, and how much their bonuses are.

All I'm saying is if you know there's an error on your W-2, don't just pretend it never happened, as you suggested...
Not a clue. My income varies by several thousand a month sometimes depending on if I bid reserve or a line. I really have no clue what I earn on a yearly basis. And I certainly don't add up my pay checks to double check my W2 at the end of the year.

You don't check the previous stub to make sure the math works? I usually always keep a couple back to make sure the math going forward on the new one is correct. Once you reach the end of the year it should then all match the W2.

I don't even get a pay stub. It's all online. No real reason to look at it. As long as my schedule indicates correctly I've never had an issue with the actual pay check being wrong.

You are in serious need of a QuickBooks subscription.
Wave is a free option but Quickbooks is worth the money.

The little airline I was at must have been done by hand on a ledger because there were a few times things weren't correct. Where I am at now has not had one mistake but I still live by the trust but verify proverb.

Always remember, if it's free, you're the target, not the consumer.

There are no free lunches.

Yeah, they do business lending and payment processing if you need it. They can take all the information they want from operating a salon for a year.

For ease of bookkeeping everything is going to be migrated over to Quickbooks anyways.

No, just like Facebook, they sell your information. You are the product, especially if you are giving them your financial information...

Yes, I know which I accepted when I used their accounting platform for free. We were using that because we didn't know how it would all be going the first year. Luckily, her space literally burnt down a couple weeks ago so we can start over again and we know the numbers now that we will be reaching a year soon.

There is such a thing as free and open source software. Which is both gratis and libre.
True, but I doubt wave is. They provide free cloud space and other features that cost money. I doubt they make it up with the other services they do charge for, so they are most likely selling your data.
