Boeing Sells Jepp

We use FAA charts at my current shop. Was a bit of a (re) adjustment coming from Jepp, but all the info is the same, if you know where to find it.

We also use FF as part of our EFB program, and it is great for that. I really hope they don't screw it up.
So glad NACO are still available. Just need to keep Flt Plan Go going too.

As far as I know, you can use Jepp plates in Foreflight, but it costs extra and idt airlines want to pay for it. Funnily enough, Spirit paid for Foreflight and we could use it as a secondary option.
Funny about spirit. Didn’t know that. If I had the option I would 100% use ForeFlight instead, even though some of the functionality is more targeted to GA guys it’s just so much more user friendly. I can’t imagine ForeFlight + Jepp is appreciably more expensive than JeppFD.

So glad NACO are still available.
Shhh don’t let Elon hear

Funny, I keep seeing Dodge Rams around Amsterdam and I wonder what effect that’ll have on that weird trend.
That must be a sight seeing those big things on the roads over there.

Makes sense though as that’s where Stellantis is headquartered.

Not Dutch but in Sweden you see a lot of Rams because they are tax exempt if used for a business and tow better than a euro trash station wagon. Probably similar reason they’re in the NL.

yeah but there’s shareholder value to be generated and we’re shedding friendly countries by the day so apparently no one cares
Shut your mouth. We're going to be building rockets and tanks and widgets tomorrow while the Chinese drown in another flood. We just have to wait for the Dow to go below 30,000....wait, sorry, 20,000. Then we've go them right where we want them.

Oh sweet Jesus, I think we look at the same websites. I've seen some delulu justifications as of recent.

Yep it’s odd. Especially when you see them try to stuff into Euro sized parking spots.

What’s not to like about about a 4cyl Volvo towing an oversized caravan with boats, bikes and grills attached?

Which, I don’t really care about re: jeppesen and their airline clients, but this is gonna blooooowwww for anyone who depends on ForeFlight
So I thought we had another thread on this, but this post is perfect for the meeting we just had today.

Good news on the new ownership, they are deliberately taking Jeppesen Foreflight off being iOS exclusive, and developing an android based version as well. Expanding markets should hopefully start a kind of quality/capability arms race between them and other products like Garmin’s to compete for more market share.

Bad News is do not expect this stuff to get cheaper. The “first time is free” approach is long over based off the price quotes we’re getting now to buy licenses. Sucks to be a small out of pocket expense.

It'd be nice. Fltplan Go is good but I need a lil more
