Yes, it aint fair, but when the two products are very close in performance (as these two planes are), the American company should get the edge.

Well... it was going to be assembled in Alabama or something like that. Not overseas. I do like seeing Boeing win this one, however.

You guys do know that Airbus pulled out of the bidding, right? Boeing was basically bidding by them themselves! lol.
Also, it was a joint EADS - Grumman venture to be built in the United States.
Still, it's nice that Boeing "won". Would have been nice if Lockheed tried to do something...
Anyone really surprised?
