Boeing cheating? Say it isn't so.....

Re: Boeing cheating? Say it isn\'t so.....

Thats unbelievable.

The RAAF finally selected the Airbus A330 AAR over the Boeing 767, after months of speculation.

The RAF chose the A330 also. Not looking good for Boeing...

Cheers

Not looking good at all. Then again, I'm not a big fan of Senator McCain. Isn't he on the Aviation Subcommitee or something? Sounds like he's got a personal vendetta against the industry. He's been after Boeing for years, and wasn't he the one that started all the government hoopla over the noisy fighter jets in Scottsdale? I'm sure Boeing will be able to cut their costs due to lost revenue by going overseas to open up plants.....

The noisy fighter jets in SDL was started by a SDL city councilman...Wayne Ecton.

Got to meet him at the SDL noise conference.....

Not that I'm a great fan of Boeing these days, but...I'd be willing to bet that all the big defense contractors pull this kind of stuff on a regular basis. Rolling a few heads doesn't fix the environment that created the problem. It just send the message, don't get caught .

I'm still confident that the Air Force will proceed with the 767's. Although the A330 is a fine plane, IMO, Airbus won't get this contract.

Really? Even if offered a job to fly A310s with FEDEX?

To all Airbus haters, what do you really know about the airplane? Or are you just one of the "If it ain't Boeing, it ain't going" lemmings?

Re: Boeing cheating? Say it isn\'t so.....

It's hard watching Airbus slowly oust Boeing out of the market, but I would definitely fly one.

Hell, if presented with the opportunity, I'd probably fly a Shorts Skyvan myself. (not really)

Wow, that chick's falling on her sword like a champ. I wonder if Boeing's making it worth her while or if it's just a burst of honesty.

She ought to, since she had absolutely zero negative compunction about sticking it to the taxpayers.

F up, own up.
