Boeing 797 concept images

Ooh! This supposed NMA-6X image about midway down the page sure looks like a 757 Next Gen Max to me. But it’s apparently a widebody?

Not sure how legit the images are, but the -6X looks gooood. Do it Boeing.

I think that it should look more like the other picture in the header of that article. That more resembles a 787. Something along those lines, will probably be what it looks like.

That was my thought as well. The design outline is for 220-270 seats which is pretty much exactly what the 787-8 holds. AA, for example, puts 225ish seats on theirs.

The only thing I can figure is it will have significantly less performance and thus be cheaper than the 787-8. Otherwise, I don't see the point.

It's two variants. Originally one was supposed have 4000 mi. range and be a narrowbody like the 757. The other a widebody, with 5000 mi. range, and fit the 767-200. Not sure if they still plan that idea. But it is still a two variant aircraft.
