One of the coolest things I've ever seen in my life was a pair of F-15C's rocketing at 10' down the full length of the runway at Pease (11.000' long?) and then just going perfectly vertical until they were almost out of sight, when they finally rolled over on their back at altitude and continued on course to wherever they were going. Pure power and some serious thunder lol.
