Blood Pressure Meds & Cholesterol

Hi,

I have someone wanting to begin flight training but they communicated they are on meds for slightly high blood pressure and cholesterol. How serious or involved is it to get a medical cert in this scenario? I don't know the meds that they are on and maybe that factors in. Thanks for whatever info or experience you all have on this.

It is easy. If they have the proper documentation, the AME can issue the medical and forward the information to the FAA.
