Biggest POS You've Ever Flown

Actually, though, THIS was a much bigger POS.

N567BA_FRONT_sp.jpg

Straight 400 with the big engines but the Diamond analogue instruments. Little brakes, no reversers, and the infuriating wing fuel transfer STC. Plus the autopilot would randomly disconnect and the co-pilot's DG would unslave itself and start to precess at random intervals. On the plus side, it would climb like a raped ape (at least compared to the later FemaleDogJets). Good at goin, bad at stoppin. Hmmmmmm....

And it can be YOURS for just $585,000, which is probably only about $575,000 too much!

Ah, yes. I too have flown that beast.

I forget that you're a CAMI alum. I'll bet we could share some Stories. Make the next STL MnG, won't you?

Not only am I a CAMI alum, I'm an alum of flying the Air 1st MU-2's (while working for Quest)! I'm gonna try to make the next MnG, although getting out this house with 3 kids requires about 2 months of military operation style planning.

I have to trot out this old Chestnut for this thread:

Patches.jpg

However, be aprised that Patches was light years LESS of a POS than ANY Be99 I've ever even seen, let alone flown. She was just a little aesthetically challenged.

Your picture of Patches reminds me of this YouTube video which I made a couple years ago. Can't remember if I might have posted it here before. If you haven't seen it, enjoy!

Serial Numbers? What is this "Serial Numbers" of which you speak?

IMS, there was a Cessna 210 back at FLX which, if you looked carefully, had an "M" wing and an "N" wing (think they had slightly different access hatches...something like that). Damn thing never did fly straight!

Hmm... Do you remember the tail #? I remember one particular plane that I used to literally scream at sometimes! :bang:
