semiannual is twice in one year. The way I remember this is the Victoria's Secret Semi Annual Sale when they show lots and lots of tv commercials. If they did it only ever other year, I'd want to shoot someone.

It's a moot point anyway... it's not called "Biennial" or "Biannual", it's just a "Flight Review" and it's due every 24 calender months....

§ 61.56 Flight review.

(a) Except as provided in paragraphs (b) and (f) of this section, a flight review consists of a minimum of 1 hour of flight training and 1 hour of ground training...

... (c) Except as provided in paragraphs (d), (e), and (g) of this section, no person may act as pilot in command of an aircraft unless, since the beginning of the 24th calendar month before the month in which that pilot acts as pilot in command, that person has—

Yes we all know what he is referring to. But with that being said......There will come a test/DE etc....where his exact choice of words will matter. Some will be picky.. Kind of like the 2 years/24 calendar months......We all know the answer, but the books says.......calendar months.
