Best way to study/ prep for the CFI/FOI written exams?

Good work @Heavy Haulin !!

Did you use Sheppard? I am currently on the same program, I will be scheduling the shotgun written completion program shortly!

I did. Most of the stuff I already knew, but I also took the time to work out all the problems ( I have to be able to teach all this... ) on the E6B, and I looked up all the references in the FAR/AIM, FAA pubs, and highlighted, tabbed, and located everything for future reference.

So it took a while, but the extra work is totally worth it. The secret is coors light. LOTS OF IT!

Just took the IGI, got in a lil hurry, 96%. Stupid mistakes.....

Great! With exception to a few subjects, the CFI very generalized is everything we know and have done. Having to teach it changes the game a bit.

I just "conversationally" outlined the first chapter of the AIH even after reading it. Like you said, totally worth the time spent learning the material to a finer degree.
