Best regional for JAN commute

I'm a career changer looking to start a regional job. I live in JAN and would like to commute, understanding that I'd need to be on reserve for awhile.

JAN has

DL - ATL
UA - IAH plus 2/day to ORD
AA - DFW/CLT plus 1/day to DCA

With QOL as the only consideration - which regional might get holding a line in to a nearby base quickest?

Here's some info on PSA (AA).

I can't get to the most current info right now (website down), but last I looked I believe the CLT base is currently around a year to hold a Round 1 (no reserve and SAP eligible) FO line, maybe even less. A Round 2 (buildup and likely still some time on reserve) line is probably around 6 months or less. Training currently takes 2 to three months.

The new DCA base reserve times are lower.

The other three bases (TYS, DAY, and CVG) do not have direct flights to JAN but you could 2-leg commute through CLT or DCA. TYS is the most senior of those three (longest wait to get round 1) at about 15 months to hold Round 1. TYS is currently more senior on the FO side than all the other bases. But you would be flying a buildup line within a few months after training.

As we start to take on the rest of the coming 35 CRJ 700s, most of which are supposedly going to DCA, reserve times should decrease somewhat.

It looks like there are at least 7 flights a day to Atlanta so I would look strongly at Endeavor.

Also, DFW has about the same about of flights so I would look at Envoy, and half of the flights are on Envoy so you would be commuting on your own metal.

CLT looks like a decent option with about 4+ flights a day, so I would look at PSA for that commute.

If I lived in JAN, I would be looking at those three companies.

Any truth to the rumor that if you want to work for Delta, it's better to not work for Endeavor? I hear the Delta is aggressively poaching from AA. Namely Envoy and PSA. Moreso than it's own wholly owned.
Those who know aren't talking; those who don't know talk plenty.

(Right.)

So ATL (Endeavor), CLT (PSA) and Envoy (DFW) seem to be good options. Anybody wanna comment on QOL only for those 3? No love for IAH?

I've been meaning to ask @Derg this question. I've flown with a number of guys who have made claims like this, but also most guys I've flown with have gotten comfortable and don't have their app in anywhere. And these are guys that are not close to retirement. I think most guys here at 9E that do have apps out just happen to have their apps in at other places than Delta for whatever reason, or they're getting picked up faster by other legacies or LCC's.

No love for IAH because your choices are Expressjet (future doesn't look so positive and you'll initially not be based in IAH), Mesa (lowest pay and compensation package in the industry), and SkyWest (they have shrunk IAH so much that you probably won't ever get IAH and you'll be commuting to ORD or DTW for a long time).

I'm with endeavor and commute out of JAN. Been based in JFK for a while and the commute is tough. I typically avoid going through ATL. My best options are JAN-CLT-LGA on AA. I'm going to our new ATL base in June so my commute should improve drastically. New hires can expect NYC.

I strongly suggest not doing a 2 leg commute. It will eat you alive. Even 4 flights a day to CLT, will be rough. ATL appears to have 7 and DFW has 6. That will be workable and you won't have huge gaps during the day without a flight.

Six months of a two leg commute you'll be asking about realtors and how other school districts are, teeeeeeeeeeeerust me.

DFW is a senior base for Envoy, correct? Does commuting mainline to ATL vs Envoy to DFW make a meaningful difference?
