Best Paying CFI Job in Country

Now, this is just for fun. I want to CFI (and CFII and MEI) for fun, so I really don't care how much I get for my time. But I was wondering what the best deals are out there. Skipping college jobs, where you pay is based on college ranks and not private rates, who pays the best? Does anyone offer benefits?

Again, for me, the main benefit will be flying for free or better, and enjoying instructing. Yes, I DID day "enjoying instructing!"

if your main benefit is flying for free, then why are you asking where the most pay comes from??? Unless I misunderstood your post.

Curiosity, more than anything else. Some people love to teach, and I was just wondering if there is a place for them (aside from college teaching) where they could earn a decent living doing nothing more than teaching.

ATCA - Airline Training Center Arizona. They do training for Lufthansa if I'm not mistaken. They want high time (I think more than 1000 dual given) but the pay is ~ 60,000/year if I heard properly.

Not bad, not bad at all. But I trust your avatar does not depict one of their MEIs landings? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

As far as I know ATCA only trains in SE aircraft: primary training in new Archers and after getting students to PPL level they advance on their IFR training to F33-Bonanzas.

ATCA also trains german air-force pilots in Extra-300s what might also be a nice CFI-Job.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Which one are we talking about here? The operation up in Goodyear Airport near PHX, or the operation down at Ryan Field in Tucson? I believe they're ATCA and ATTI, respectively? Both fly the yellow F33s, if I'm not mistaken. I believe ATCA trains the Germans in F33s and BE55 (58?) Barons, while ATTI uses the Archers and F33s training some asian studs.

I meant ATCA in Goodyear near PHX, they are the ones who train the Lufthansa-sponsored students and yes, they fly the yellow F33s, although they are repainting them now to the white-blue Lufthansa-scheme, so their students get the feeling of flying Lufthansa.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/spin2.gif ATCA in Goodyear also uses the new Archers for primary training. The Lufthansa students get their multi ratings back home in Germany on a Cheyenne, I have not heard about them doing multi training in PHX, but maybe they have changed their syllabus since I talked to them.

What and where is ATTI?
