Best/Most Convienent CFI Renewal Program?

AF, I just renewed for the third time in April. The nice thing about it us that one isn't really required to do any work. You simply have to leave your browser open for the required time and take a quiz. (of which a google search can generally turn up any stray answers). Of course I never did this, but a really bad person could.

American flyers is painfully boring, but in 2 years it'll be free.
Yeah, our hands are tied by the FAA, and so is every other renewal out there. The computer has to log so many hours legally to call it a renewal, otherwise a lot of people, myself included, would finish it in literally 2-3 hours... Sucks, but what else is new... FAA: "We're not happy until you're unhappy."

I go with Gleim.

Yeah, you don't have the one time payment like American Flyers - but you also don't have to deal with the timer on every section like American Flyers.

In a matter of four or five total hours I have completed Gleim both times I've renewed. Much better than the 16-18 hours with American Flyers.

Never used AOPA.

I started Gleim. The time commitment was the clincher. Thanks for the replies everyone, narrowed that down quickly.

I did the AOPA one 2 years ago and it took me an entire weekend to do it. If it's still the same, you needed to literally click through every slide of each section to access the test, and it took forever. I really liked the AF method of just leaving the browser open. I basically opened it in the morning, ran errands, came back to take a test, and continued that all day. Def the way to go IMO and nice to know I can do it in 2 more years and not pay.
