Best location for career pilot program?

I'm going to answer my own thread here...after seeing the other area ATP offices, Stuart is GREAT. It's not too busy, we have a great DPE, the apartments are top-notch (hot tub anyone?) and it's a decent place to live. A lot of people here for checkrides or on XCs tell me they wish they had done the ACPP in Stuart.

Riverside is awesome.

They have one of the best instructors there and onsite maintenance if needed. The airport itself is sleepy and slow, which means plenty of pattern practice and instrument approaches when needed. It's June Gloom time, not too important for the private, but the instrument it means actual IMC is within lesson distance. I got .6 on my way to my MEL checkride at RAL.

LGB airport is nuts. Ten intersecting runways, multiple landings at a time, 2 mile taxi to parking.... But it is busy and has the LGB Flying Club nearby if you want to rent an airplane for a fun trip once in a while.

Good Luck!

What about Jacksonville? I was told it was a smart choice to pick JAX b/c of the company operations take place there. Possibly get to know upper management an have a better shot at receiving a CFI position. What do you guys think of the place?

Naturally I'm partial to the Dallas location, but JAX would be the smart choice for the very reasons you mentioned.
