When I "break out" and hand the controls over, one hand is removing the foggles, the other is getting my sunglasses.

Ill second that. I use a Francis hood, and the transition to visual is always a " whoa" moment for my eyes, ESPECIALLY late afternoons in NorCal and always keep my rims in close proximity.
