Best headsets?

Now I wont say it to someone else and sound dumb.

No worries. I say more dumb things than smart things. At least that's what my teachers used to tell me.

I used DC's (and many variants) in the military. When I decided to come back to GA I bought a Lightspeed 20XLC. I'd recently flown with a coworker in his Saratoga and used his Lightspeed ANR headsets. They were 20XL's if I recall correctly. For me the added cost of ANR (or ENC) was worth it.

So far I've used DC's, a Flightcom Classic ANR, and now I have a Bose Aviation X. Out of all I've used I'd have to go with the Bose mostly because they are the lightest on my head. I seem to have problems with getting headaches when there is lots of pressure on my head which I got with my Flightcom set, which is why I sold it and got Bose. The Bose have excellent ANR, granted they are the loudest headset I've used without ANR on such as if your batteries die. The Flightcom ANR were pretty good even without ANR on due to heavy passive cancelling.

One complaint about the Bose is the sensitive volume knobs which turn very easily. There are separate knobs for each ear and I have to often adjust them because they move just getting bumped around. Overall I like them the best though.

I've only flown one day with my new DC H20-10s but they are by far the quietest headset I've ever owned and very good sounding.

They are slightly more heavy than I was used to with my Sigtronics I used to own, but there is enought padding and great design to make it more comfortable, even though its heavier.

So, my vote right now is the DC H20-10s...

(I've flown Bose, and quite frankly, haven't been that inpressed)
