Best/favorite FBO you've been to

I went to the other guys for about 2 days while working a survey job over El Paso/Juarez. The line service kid drove me into town in a Suzuki Samurai and had never driven stick before
"You want me to drive us there man? I know how to drive a manual"
"Nah, I need to practice so I can get back to the airport"

And there was gnashing and grinding of gears...

Any stickshift FBO car that lives at an uncontrolled field is guaranteed to have suspiciously few miles for how worn out the clutch is.

I learned how to drive when I was 11 or 12 in a VW rabbit that was missing 2nd gear. It was an airport car everyone used to buzz around the field, but never unto public property!
That thing was awesome, and I'm sure I got it up onto 2 wheels at some point...

This explains your Lazy 8 technique.

Speaking of LRU, "worst" would be the guy at the "other" FBO that stands out on their apron with his marshall flags trying to sucker you in and no, it didn't work. Even though you called on CTAF that you were going to Francis. Must not listen to his radios?

Haha. Both Signature and Tac Air at RDU do that. They're separated by about 100 yards of pavement.

Wilson Air at MEM always has great service. Too bad our trips there typically go to the other guys. Heritage at BTV has great crew facilities. Workout room, tv room, play room (Nintendo Wii and ping pong). My favorite still has to be Global Select at SGR. Massage chairs, theater room, tv room, and awesome snacks. All of the crew facilities are behind a locked door (get the combo from the front desk) to keep the Muggles away from the pilots. Speaking of massage chairs, Cleveland Jet Center at CGF has always been pretty good.

That's hilarious! TAC Air got me one day there. I actually gave them props for their aggressive business behavior. I thought it was funny as hell, I just followed the shiny wand guy.
