Best/favorite FBO you've been to

Meridian TEB, especially for a long sit, pool table, work cubicles, workout room, but my favorite the Theatre Room, with a few hundred movies on demand, 4-5 crew cars. Service has always been great there as well.

I was going to say XJet APA, because awesome...but then I went to TTD. What the mom and pop FBO lacks in glitz, it makes up in spades by having a pristine N64 with Mario Kart. Best airport appreciation day in a loooooong time!

Atlantic for the bucks. Rectrix for the snacks, drinks, and little microfiber cloth things to clean my sunglasses. Million Air for the crew cars. Meridian for the movies. Mom and Pops for random stuff. Signature for ummm... nothing.

There's a trailer-FBO somewhere on field outside of San Antonio that I can't remember. They had more cats than airplanes. I thought that was cool, but I'm weird that way.

I've never pulled up to a trailer in san an tone, but I agree that cats are weird.
:bounce:
But seriously, will never forget the week of Claritin and allergy spasms spent at Shebley in AZ. It always amazes me, the arrogance of businesses populating their place of revenue with animals that I might be allergic to. (I think I can end my sentence with a preposition there, maybe?)

Thats awesome. Can't wait to pull up and buy 4500lbs of fuel! Hope I don't have to leave the money in the coffee can though.

We did a cross country and had to land because of a fuel transfer failure leaving about 700 lbs of fuel unusable. Found some place on the map in the middle of nowhere New Mexico and went "it says it has services."

We land, shut down, and I walk over to some guy sunning himself in a lawn chair with the statement "Hi are you interested in selling about ten grand worth of fuel?"

We got real lucky because between the 3 Apaches we needed about 7000 lbs and he only refueled the truck every once in a while.

I've never been to a bad Million Air and I've never left a Signature without feeling ripped off. I'll actually fly to a different airport just to avoid Signature these days.

They certainly do act entitled sometimes (and places),especially with those of us with arrangements. I think about it like I do with cable companies. You're gonna get the best deals and service from the second best, because they are trying to be the best.
But if Comscast is the only deal in town, they are gonna bend you over. What are you gonna do otherwise, put up the rabbit ears try to go without Internet??

Scamature is clearly very proud of their product/service, which is fine. However, I'm not too impressed.

If it weren't for the quarter share kids and folks with more money than sense, I don't know how they would be in business. Seems like EVERYONE avoids them like a Justin Beaver song on the radio.

This.

And anywhere ya go where The Company is the life blood of the community and your treated like Sky Royalty.
Gotta love small town USA!

Was that at SSF?

No. I *think* it was Giddings County, but I can't remember.

I know what you mean there, but I found that just a little depressing. Entire towns dependent on the whims of shareholders kinda sucks....

Truuf, they make and/or break these communities sometimes. Thankfully the wildfires of capitalism usually means new growth of some sort.

Millionair TUS is one of the better ones I've been to...But my current company parks at the Jet center on the other side of 03/21. The facilities are super basic, but the dude who always seems to be working there is great. Of the other ones I go to regularly, Cutter PHX always treats us great (as does ABQ at night thanks to one awesome line supervisor...ABQ during the day is a different story), TAC air SLC has a nice pilots lounge (but they never have any coffee late at night...:( ), The Jet Center at SAF (the new one, not the old one...that is now a Scamiture) is great, Denver Jet Center APA is great and Francis aviation at both LRU and 5T6 are great.

Speaking of LRU, "worst" would be the guy at the "other" FBO that stands out on their apron with his marshall flags trying to sucker you in and no, it didn't work. Even though you called on CTAF that you were going to Francis. Must not listen to his radios?

I went to the other guys for about 2 days while working a survey job over El Paso/Juarez. The line service kid drove me into town in a Suzuki Samurai and had never driven stick before
"You want me to drive us there man? I know how to drive a manual"
"Nah, I need to practice so I can get back to the airport"

And there was gnashing and grinding of gears...
