For the b1900/C212 first officer position. I have a few questions if anyone can shed some light.
What is the pay?
What is the schedule?
Is it commutable?
Can you actually upgrade or are you stuck as a fo for life?
Can you choose which airframe to fly?
Do they offer benefits?

I don't know much, but they are usually on the higher end of pay for the Alaskan operators. I believe FOs have to live in Nome or Kotzebue. I've spent a little amount of time in each place and they are absolutely beautiful.

Ya. Koto is beautiful. And there's a 10 behind every tree.

Ok Kotz itself, not so great. The flying around Kotz is really quite pleasant I think. Definitely worse places on the west coast.

I think the Casa is only in OME.

Edit to add: I think Bering still has upgrades in the typical Alaskan style. Bounce out of the 1900/Casa and into a Navajo or a van.

Would have been nice to skip "upgrading" to the sled.

From what you guys are saying I'm thinking that I'm going to have to look elsewhere. I guess I could try grant.

I did training up there years ago for my CASA type. Nome is interesting to say the least. Great bunch of folks up there at BA.
