Sent what I could.....and I'd encourage everyone on the JC community to donate as well. It will only take a minute of your time to help Ben's family.

Imagine if the majority of JC'ers contribute just $1 each, we'd give Ben's family over $10,000.

true...I can't imagine anyone who can afford a cel phone and a computer not being able to afford at least $10.00. (A case of PBR folks)

That could get both of his daughters through college, or at least help get his family through a couple of years...
 
thank you so much for everyone who is donating. my sister and her beautiful daughters really need all the help they can get that this point. it is so nice to see everyone around the country donating. we are all grateful to have known ben. this is a tough time for everyone, words cannot explain how grateful we are to all of you.

We just wanted to, in some small way, share with his family how much Ben meant to our community.

Ben was always a kind, generous and knowledgeable gentleman on these forums. His loss has affected our community in a deep and profound way, and we can only imagine what it is like to have lost someone so close who maintained a character of such high caliber.

No matter how much we raise through our online community, and we are painfully aware that it can never come close to replacing Ben; we just want you and the rest of Ben's family to know we share in your sadness, and are thankful he touched our lives for this short time.

donation made. Didn't know him personally, but always looked forward to his comments on here. It is people like Ben that make JC the great place that it is. RIP
 
My husband and I sent what we could. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

FYI: Today I found out that the local newspaper had a typo, the donation fund is at catually at Wells Fargo. But you can still donate at UCCU and they'll transfer the money to the Wells Fargo account.

Donation sent, I still cant look at the pics of his girls without tearing up. All from a guy who I talked to for the last couple years but never had the opportunity to shake his hand.
 
I don't know if it was posted yet, but the Wells Fargo Memorial Fund is successfully in the system.
 
just a reminder that the donation time frame ends on November 6th...for some reason, i was thinking it was tomorrow. I want to allot for at least a good 2 weeks.

If I get mine in the mail tomorrow will that be enough time, or should I just go ahead and do it via paypal? I wanted to do it sooner but I was away from home.

Sorry I can't give more, but I just wanted to be sure to donate something.
