Beech Premier

The cash can work for him when he has the plane mortgaged. He makes more on the money investing than if he removed it from the market to buy an asset.

25 years is only $7,200

where

10 years is 14,900

so an extra 7k per month, one year alone is 84k that this guy would make turn into more than the interest he's paying on the 25 year nut.

That makes sense. Like I said, $600k can easily be done with a CJ1. Especially with fuel being cheap right now. Probably can be done with a CJ2 also as the operating costs are almost identical. Just have to stretch the finance payment.

I think he'd be very disappointed with an Eclipse. It's a decent owner operated plane. Not so much for having someone fly you around.

Have any questions PM me.

I get the value of the equation. But he must not be barrowing the money from the normal banking system, i.e. a bank.

Plenty of banks will give a 25 year loan, it's all about relationships. You or I couldn't get it, but someone with enough clout and business with an institution could do it.

I flew a 501 3-4 years ago and I hated it. I found the cockpit cramped and the G-1000 inadequate (functionally) for a jet (perhaps Garmin fixed those problems in a later software update). The trash bag lav was another big issue for the folks in the back. The support was actually quite good irrespective of the broken promises particularly related to the G-1000.

did you have many issues (non-G1000) with it?

I am typed in and have flown both the Mustang and the Phenom 100. Both planes have their advantages and disadvantages. Neither will do your 1000 mile trips with 4-6 people. There's no way. Well there's no way unless they managed to up the max take off weights since I flew the planes.

Garmin fixed many of the issues that people complained about with the G1000. The biggest was user defined holds.

The Phenom is faster and has a bigger cabin than the Mustang. The Phenom also has a real flushing Lav, though it services from inside the plane so you're carrying it through the whole cabin hoping you don't spill anything.

The Mustang has much better for runway performance. It will get in and out of much shorter fields than the Phenom.

No, not really. A few little things but it didn't affect dispatch. Range eventually became an issue for us as we expanded but that's not the Mustang's fault. SrFnFly is correct, 1000 mile trips with useful loads are unlikely to happen.
