Beech Baron crash caught on tape

Holy cow. They're very VERY fortunate to have survived that.

I saw this a couple of days ago, crazy stuff. I think they are lucky they caught that building, at least it took some energy away from the final impact.

HOLY CRAP! almost pointed straight to the ground and survived! I'm baffled how it rotated 180 degrees in the first 2 frames..... None the less that is a tank if the pax survived.

Nobody has yet to mention that when they hit the building, they were inverted. The fact that people lived through that is insane!

The prelim report makes it sound like some kind of stall/spin.

observations of the airplane flying level about 150 feet agl over the runway, with its landing gear and flaps extended. It then began a turn to the left while simultaneously descending. A few seconds later, the nose of the airplane appeared to pitch up, followed by a subsequent roll to the right and an inverted nose down descent.

Incredibly lucky to be alive.

What was the "quality" of their survival?

That plane was ripped open like a tuna can.

I think the YT link says they were seriously injured but will make a full recovery.

It may have been ripped open like a tuna can, but the pax compartment survuved the nearly vertical impact well. I am impressed.

wow, this is amazing! It's interesting to see it's inverted. I have heard the baron can enter a flat inverted spin, when you spin it.

Who said it was spinning?

All we know is from the pilot observation quoted above, that said the airplane stalled and then rolled inverted before impacting the dirt.
