Beech 18 Crash on Take off out of Opa Loka

Sucks.
RIP OOTSK
Saw the breaking news and the AMF departure around the same time and thought immediately of you two. Stay safe T and K.

Back up! You're down here and haven't told us? I'm not working all week. We should hang dude.

What I was referring to is that some people don't want to describe what they saw, feeling that it'd come across as "the Gospel" or that they were drawing conclusions. Which isn't the case if someone simply describes what they saw and thats it. Now, whether they want to or not otherwise, is purely up to them.

True... guess it's different to everyone. I've seen multiple fatal aviation accidents happen right in front of me, and I've had a young girl die in my arms. It sucks... but it happens and it's simply a fact of life. I've had no problem explaining what I saw to other pilots as well as investigating authorities, but that's just me. The fact remains that as quick as the accident happened to those involved, it could happen to any pilot out there. Sometimes, explaining certain facts allows a pilot to take the specific mechanics of the accident seriously and possibly prevent one in the future. I'm not asking the witnesses to say anything... just pointing out that there is some merit in explaining the facts of what was witnessed.

This is pretty traumatic stuff for some. I probably wouldn't want to talk about it either...hearing someones last words over the radio and seeing someone lose their life in that manner.

Speculation, and not his traumatization, was the reason why I thought he wasn't going to say what he saw. Him being traumatized to this extent never entered my mind. Meant no harm to the guy and his psyche.

Unfortunately, and I've said this many times before; if you want to make flying a career, you're only going to see more and more friends or people you know perish in air accidents. Whether you hear about it or whether you see it firsthand, its not something you can avoid in this business. Im unfortunately up to about a little over 35, off the top of my head. Which sucks.

Get used to the suck, learn from what comes of it, and press on. There's really nothing else that can be done.

You need to REALLY figure out when to STFU. I know you're looking for jobs right now, so hopefully you figure it out quick. I certainly am not going out of my way to help you out.

Ouch! My career is done now isn't it! ill get back to you when i get done crying, tool!

Allow me to clear few things. You are utterly mistaken that all people successful in this industry have relied on JC to get employed. I know many living examples in life that are in this field and successful, required no networking. And for you to think that i will be hard on my self because an idiot like you doesn't wanna help me? If i can remember correctly, i never asked you for help. And if i ever did, the joke is on me. We will get what we want when the time is right but i will not tolerate someone's ignorance (BORIS) with out clarifying one's intent of asking question. I asked him to describe the scene, not what he thinks caused the accident. if he doesnt want to, fine whatever. There are too many of you around here that act like *FORUM THUGS*.

As usual topic derailed, i will end this discussion by wishing prayers and condolences to the family of the victim. If any one else has a problem, PM ME.

Sleep well.

Ummm, if networking is so worthless, why exactly are you wasting your time with a networking-centered aviation website?

Oh, Mitch!

You will not be successful in this career with that attitude, and that's a guarantee.

I don't know what fantasy land you're living in, but networking and establishing relationships is extremely important in this industry. The past three aviation jobs I've had were via networking, with one of them through an online forum similar to this one. I even picked up a contract gig through this very website. Almost everybody I know in this industry has had similar experiences.

Time and time again you have proven to myself and everybody here that you are the <edited>. You are clearly desperate to get on with almost every regional carrier that is hiring, yet you constantly shoot your mouth off like an immature little kid. It's quite amusing really...

Yes, clearly everybody else is the problem... :banghead:

Well, many of us cause a lot of problems;)

Seriously though, having an attitude and knowing everything when you clearly don't ain't gonna make you a lot of friends.

Aviation is a really small world, don't forget that. And don't be a tool.

[modhat]Some of you need to chill out with the namecalling. NOW. First and final warning.[/modhat]

I haven't called anyone a name in this thread...but much like the class tattle-tale I would like to point out the TopGun was the first to namecall (called someone a tool) and he called Boris ignorant - most likely due to menstral difficulties or not being on the appropriate meds (because you have to admit...he just kind of launched kind of like how Kestrel used to do). I vote for severe punishment. Just thought I would offer this kindly help to our valued and overworked mod team.

Indeed Waco. I don't see where I have called anyone any name, my statement of "don't be a tool" was clearly a piece of advice to everyone.

But if you are seeing multiple "oh Mitch" comments in a thread... Well, where there is smoke...

I received an "infraction" on this thread. Seriously? Mods, was that a mistake? I'm baffled...

As always, if you have an issue with the Moderation here you need to take it up with Doug directly.

Arguing it in public will not work out well for you; that be my prediction.

Can we in some way form a vigilante posse and take matters into our own hands? That was be an awesome feature and would make JC unique among interweb forums I think.
