Becoming an Airline Pilot After The Navy

So for my real response. Find out all you can about your potential MOS. Don't sign the line unless that MOS is guaranteed.
I don't know about the Navy(squidsville), but the USMC doesn't allow too much time to devote to studying depending on your MOS. The AF treats their personel the best. Flying clubs are a great option should you have it. Being in the AF will give you access to more flying clubs.
Air national guard is even better if you want a family feeling within your unit.

If you enlist in any service, stay away from women who want a food ticket. Save your money. You can eat for free most of the time. Have fun cause the time is going to fly by. Get as much college education while you are in. You will be out sooner than you think and will have done a service for your country.

dude rotc is a good deal if you dont mind shaving your head. I would have done it had if i A) hated having hair and b) disliked alcohol. I may regret my choice, taking into account that at my school A MAJORTIY of qualified applicants get their pilot slots.

i know afrotc throws out 15k scholarships and every det's c.o. has one full ride to hand out to his favorite cadet. (kiss ass)

talk to the dets head honcho. talk to the person in charge of scholarship at that det (it may vary by det... but i know ours had a lady that tossed them out)

GET A DEGREE!

Boy, everyone talks about crappy recruiters, am I the only one who didn't have a bad one? I enlisted fully knowing what I was getting into. I chose the job I wanted, no pressure, no hassles, he wasn't in a hurry for me to "sign on the dotted line".
I look back 5 1/2 years, and can safely say he really didn't BS me, this is how it is.
