Banner Tow Florida

banner towed for 5 seasons, jersey shore and flew to west coast and dragged rags out there also. I loved the work but season to short to make a living.
learned a bunch about flying in windy ass conditions and cross winds. lol get your tailwheel and go to work. If you're serious about flying they will hire you.
I did all the set up of banners and work myself at a satellite strip up on the jersey shore. its your responsibility to make sure flights get done they put faith and
trust in you, be a good worker and get it done.

Hey guys does anyone know the average cost to get a TW endorsement and if their is a banner towing company in the greater Ny area or oddly enough near Fort Lauderdale? Thanks

Cost me about $800. Did it in 6 hours. It's all going to depend on how quickly you learn.
Most tow companies want at least 25 hours of tailwheel time though, so you'll need some money to build more time afterwards.

North is all wrapped up and finished for the season, I know there is still some work up there, but south florida is where you may find more opportunity at least until the season ends next spring.

Mine cost about $250, and the place I tow picked up half if not all of it. They also needed pilots at the time.

Even with the signoff (after 22 landings), the insurance company wanted 3 more landings, plus 13 more supervised landings in the aircraft I was ultimately flying (PA-25).

Landings and currency matter more than hours. For what it is worth, complacency on the part of high-timers can be more dangerous than inexperience from what I have seen.

Where do you want to earn your tailwheel, FL or NY? If FL, send me a message. I give tailwheel instruction in the S. Florida area.

I put a deposit on the endorsement here in Ny, a friend got me a great rate for the area so I don't have to fly anywhere.
