No pasa nada.
I saw them take the outflow valves out of one of Air 1st's MU-2s, once. They were ORANGE. I never smoked in the cockpit, but I'm pretty sure everyone else did.
I've seen the pictures - you can't fool me! Lol.
I tried smoking in flight once with one of the captains who was a smoker - at 10,000' cabin altitude, it was objectively awful. Hilariously, I also watched a captain drop his cigarette in his dip can as we were getting ready to start down, "time to get serious."
A friend of mine worked for an adhoc place where some enterprising pilots had figured out that you could get the window of the airplane (I think he said it was a Bandeirante?) to open a bungie cord and a leatherman positioned "just right" and still keep like 4PSID - they used to drop down to the mid teens to smoke, then climb back up when they jettisoned their cigarette somewhere over the Mexican desert.
Ahhh, the good ole days.
