Calling for engine starts en français
United flight cancelled for maint issues, now I'm standing in line at customer service. About 300 people in this line, moving slower than Space mountain.

I think there were multiple cancellations.
 
Hahaha... yeah.... I remember seeing that line go all the way back to the B60 or so. Best bet is to call 800 # rather than wait in line.
 
Ha! Thats nothing. Just be glad you aren't on the East Coast where United canceled 150 flights out of IAD ALONE on Saturday. Thats gonna be a whole lot more than 300 stranded people.
 
Actually it was a hydraulics issue. They had maint at the aircraft twice to fix it, but we ended up back in the terminal intending to get on another flight at 1 AM. Unfortunately the FO for the flight was an IOE captain. He had timed out early than the other captain.

I ended up standing in line for almost 2 hours, after waiting on the ramp in the plane for almost 2 hours. I got a free hotel courtesy of United and about 2 hours of sleep before I was back at the airport on a Republic flight for Frontier.

Now I'm in San Diego with no luggage :D
 
I had a flight canceled in LAX. We were going to be on a 747 so we had a ton of people in line. Instead of waiting, my father went to the check in desk and was able to bypass everyone waiting in the long line.
