B55 Baron

The 55 series and 58 are exceptionally well flying aircraft. The 56 is amazing, if you can afford the fuel burns.

If we are talking about non-radial, nosedraggers I will confess:

I've always wanted to have an Aerostar and then progress to an MU2. I have a thing for airplanes with a "bad reputation" though - they just seem more fun, and generally are awesome airplanes. From a Luscombe, to a Swift to a Tomahawk and others, I've just always enjoyed airplanes that people kind of crapped on or thought were "bad". I'm certain from what I've heard that the Aerostar and MU2 would be in the same situation.

The Aerostar was Pablo Escobar's favorite plane. There are still tons of them here... Go figure...

O/T: How are things up there? I just sat a CRM class yesterday, there were two Avianca Capts in it (they left recently), crazy stories man. I dunno if I wanna fly on Avianca ever again....In the class also former ocean air pilots, the company that owns Avianca now, crazy! crazy! stuff....I`m talking about flying airplanes with big safety issues, crews that refuse to fly get replaced by others that will fly it, and somehow this crews get upgraded faster...good luck!

One of the pilots told us that he refused to takeoff with one of the Fokkers because it had some pressure problems with the break system, and the MX guy who could not read English kept telling him it`s ok, D of Ops called saying they have to go, the manual says it`s a NO GO, capt gets grounded and crew replaced by some newly upgraded pilots...
