With a raised cockpit like it had, probably a floor hatch/ladder combo, like entering a B-52.

I was looking for the way in, and if you look closely, you can see that the back panel is not completely finished at the port side. Perhaps there's the (small) entrance.

MikeD has it right. If you look at the diagram I posted above, you can see an access ramp from the nosewheel, similar to the B-29.

Every Saturday morning at KCNU a doctor comes in and drinks coffee at the FBO. He flew these beasts back in the day. Another guy flew " the hump". I could listen to them for hours.

I bet. Crazy world they served in. I can't imagine what taking one of those hogs into Soviet airspace would have involved.

Getting downed by a SAM in the high level tactics of those days; pretty much what did them in as bombers for the USAF, as there was no way they could do a low-level penetration.
