For those of you who do not know who Ayrton Senna is... he was arguably the most talented F1 car driver of all time.
Watch "Senna" on Netflix, even if youre not into F1.

Anyhoo, Azul, a Brazillian carrier, painted the nose of this aircraft in Senna's trademark helmet paintjob.

Enjoy

Rubbin' is racin'. Unless you're F1 and your car breaks into a million pieces.
Not sure why you might not like Senna or that era of F1. It was dangerous, the drivers accepted those risks and sometimes they didn't finish the race. They were ok with that. I still like F1 but it's not nearly as exciting it used to be.

At least F1 keeps going in a little rain... Haha.

That was the golden age... 1200 horses with massive turbo lag/boost and an old-fashioned gearbox.

As someone wrote on a car forum, "i wouldnt want the theme of my plane im flying in to be that of someone who died in a crash."
Different strokes for different folks, but I don't get all superstitious about crashes. I've crashed my bike, and after some repairs I was right back on it with the same gear as before. My great uncle died in a Thunderbolt at the hands of some Nazis, and I'd be proud as hell to recycle that nose-art.

It's the legend of the man, not the accident. If the only thing that helmet brings to mind is a fatal crash, then someone needs to go watch some tape of Senna in the rain... or during qualifying. Pure aggression and dominance.

Senna at Monaco in the rain was absolute brilliance. Gapping the field by many seconds per lap.

It's crazy that he was the last person to die racing an F1 car.

Awesome! Its amazing how much he impacted Brazil. He was so much more than a great driver, from everything I've read and seen, he was a great human being who cared deeply for those in need in his home country.

You must not have watched Bahrain!

Seconded! That was the most exciting race I've seen in a very long time!

The cars sound like crap this year but there's been some damn good racing so far.

Yes he cared very deeply for Brazilians young and old, rich and poor. Gave huge amounts of his $400million fortune to his charity.
When he finally won the Brazillian as shown in the documentary it was great.

You may consider to be Michael Schumacher to be better, but he is not Greater. Schumacher is a boring spinster when put next to the likes of Ayrton Senna.

What you have to remember is that Senna was not just a racer to the Brazillian people... he was the hero of the entire Brazillian population, probably moreso than Pele'.
