Second hand info from a guy in recurrent ground, he said the Chief Pilot said we are hiring 30 for classes beginning in Sept.

I did receive an e-mail from AirlineApps.com to update my AWAC addemdum, guess there was some changes to that recently.

Good news though, hopefully it pans out for you guys.

Definitely another class or two coming soon. The 30 number wasn't a hard number, so it could go up or down I suppose. They said to expect roughly 15 upgrades as well. Apparently our flying in October wasn't pulled down like it normally is.

It's true, they called Monday, interviewed Friday and hired for a July 18th class.

They said they didn't know how many pilots they need yet, could be as many as 30 and they would know more this week.

Look forward to working with you guys!

What were your times? Congratz'

Sweet congrats!! It's still a good place to work for don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Thanks guys! I have 1700/280, no previous 121, just instructing and a little corporate. The other two guys that interviewed with me were instructors also. I was the first interviewed and had to catch a flight out after so I don't know who else was hired.

I've heard thru the grapevine that they've had issues (like passing issues) with the furloughed guys. Apparently that is why they want to hire 30, 15 for re-hires from people that failed out of training and 15 because the flying didn't really get cut that much.

So looks like this round they are hiring people (ie CFIs) that actually give a crap and want to be there.

I have a good friend that interviewed and was hired this past week as well.

Congrats!

That's what I figured.

They also said Airways gave them more flying for the fall instead of taking it away like they've done in the past.

Overall everyone was very laid back and I enjoyed the interview experience, seems like a good company.

Hello,
I did some searching and couldn't find anything on currency requirements.
Does Air Wisconsin require a certain amount of time within the last 60, 90, 120 days?
I have about 3700tt and 800 multi, however I haven't flown much in the past year due to an attempted career change.
My previous job was flight instructing, Part 135 day VFR, and co-piloting in King Air's.
I'm willing to do what it takes to become curent again.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ken

Any news on if they are still hiring or have they met their quota? How's training going for those that got hired?
