So I am looking around on the net, and I came across a few places that seem cool. Parachute Inn in Arkansas is one I've already been too, but thought I'd mention. Great way to kill an hour, having lunch inside a 737 turned restaurant:) Maggie Mcfly's in Connecticut(not yet), Landing Strip Cafe at Auburn Airport-LEW(been there), Riding on a Wing and a Prayer Bar & Grill in Lancaster, CA(not yet). The Proud Bird at LAX(not yet). The A380 in-flight kitchen in Taipei(someday). That looked interesting. I'm sure there are more. The Cafe at Auburn is cool, at the time I went there, I saw a L-1649A Starliner that was being restored by Lufthansa, and then they were supposed to fly it back to Germany post restoration. Not sure whatever became of that. Any other spots out there?

The Proud Bird located on the short final to the south runways at LAX. Very 70s looking place with modeled aircraft and (I think) maybe a few real ones on display.

I have been here:

There's a restaurant in Costa Rica at Manuel Antonio that is built around a C-123, that was used in the Iran-Contra deal, and abandoned in San Jose after it's sister ship was shot down. The bar is in the cargo area. They also set a Lear fuselage vertically and use it as a dumb waiter.

The restaurant is just down the street from the hotel with the 727 hotel room.

That's the El Avion.

356th Fighter Group at KCAK. A WWII aviation inspired restaurant. Good food, but expensive. Also would need a crew car or something to get to it since it is on the opposite side of the airport.
