Ugghh... Jerimiah Weed

We used to keep a bottle in the squdron freezer for Fridays after the beer light went on. Talk about the most disgusting swill. The only place I've ever come across the stuff for sale was the Class 6, and I'm sure that's for a good reason. It's like drinking lysol mixed with Ant Jemimah. Maybe they should've called it Jemimah Weed.

Now as for songs, Stephen Stills, Treetop Flyer is a good one. I have a copy of some Nam era USAF drinking songs somewhere too.

Isn't that the sound of a film reel? Its a good song either way, except for the creepy kids singing at the end.

Im go into an argument about whether it was a love song or a break up song with someone the other day.

Art is what you make of it......I wanted it to be prop just before my checkride. Anyway......not either. About getting to where you want to be and the experiences that put you there. My take on it. :D

As much as I like Danger Zone, I think old Loggins couldn't actually figure out if he was writing a song about a plane or a car.

Has anyone here actually flown a plane that had an overdrive?

Well, you can always skip to track 2 of that soundtrack for my personal favorite.. "Mighty Wings" by Cheap Trick. Wow I feel lame now....

WEP...War Emergency Power...overdrive by means of dumping water in the jugs.

:)

Interesting factoid, but not exactly overdrive in the conventional sense. More along the lines of overtaxing the engine for short bursts.

Overdrive is actually when the output shaft RPM exceeds the engine RPM, through the use of gear multiplication, rather then reduction, in the transmission.

Now that would make for a cool constant velocity propeller system!
