Aviation frustration

Does anybody else get frustrated when they aren't able to fly for a few days? I'm on SoCal and have been rained out most of this week. I notice that I'm a bit short-tempered with the girlfriend.

It's like sexual frustration, only with planes.

Personally, I'm just tired of the rain and cold. Can't escape it!

Yes, I am over two months. Its tough.

Try being out at the airport all the time (mechanic) and never flying.

Join the club. It's supposed to clear up this Saturday/Sunday but I'm hesitant to fly as every Tom, Dick, and Harry is going to be up there. :laff:

My wife says that when I haven't flown for a while (sometimes as short as a few days) that I have withdrawal symptoms just like it's a drug.

I've flown five times this month and I've been scheduled to fly everyday...then again it is Nebraska winter.

Vacation

I have found that if I have not been able to fly for a while, I need to go on a road trip. I guess I just like operating machinery. Man of simple pleasures.

At this point I would love to have some of your problems. Commuting to reserve, flying long days in crap weather and never being home tends to do that to a guy. Hopefully we can all balance out our flying needs sooner than later :)

Try graduating over a year ago, not being able to find a job as a CFI, realizing that even if you were working as a CFI you wouldn't be able to even eat let alone provide for your wife and son, and end up working at ebay not having flown in over a year.

Still trying to find some money to keep my currency and sanity... rant over

Edit: Boy have i been blessed to have a decent paying job and good benefits though

I am looking for work in the south of SF region, Monterey bay, my old stomping grounds of Hollister etc. Aerial photography, jump pilot, banner towing, etc, anything!

A couple conversations ended with a No, click, or Ha ha ha ha ha ha click. Like come on guys at least have some class? No..hahahaha haaa...click. I feel like a tele-marketer. Boots on the ground would get me further, but kinda hard to do from Vegas.

Yes, I have a flying job, but it is getting to point where I am running out of stuff to sell to eat and make rent, and make that long ass commute every day and dancing with my giant cactus of a boss is well, painful.
