Augmented and Virtual Reality Aerospace

I want "virtual vfr" where I have synthetic vision on my AR headset, checklists that watch what I do in the cockpit and visually highlight what I should do "next," I want AR that's connected to the plane that shows me real time information about the state of valves, and electrical equipment, and fuel, etc on my AR unit.

This is so insanely easy - the other stuff we haven't thought of yet will make star trek look quaint.
Possibly no more VFR/IFR restrictions as well. You'll have a full view of all terrain and traffic making staying clear of clouds obsolete. Pretty incredible to think what the future will hold if the government can keep up with technology.

It's not aviation, but this is something I've been following closely for a couple of months now.

Improve VR enough and the user will be able to "experience" anything/everything right from his/her couch. There won't be any need to use augmented reality to improve pilot-to-aircraft interfaces or aircraft operations, travel will be obsolete. :)
