There was a guy a while back wearing a non AA uniform on multiple flights, but this is the first I’ve heard of someone trying to get the jumpseat. I wonder if it’s the same guy.

Rumor has it a 17yr old autistic kid who was with his mom. She has bragged about him flying a 747 on Facebook and has pics of him in a uniform with two stripes. No links since it’s not confirmed but there you go…

My wife refers to my uniform as my costume constantly, such as I'll be on reserve and she'll ask if i have my costume ready incase work calls. This is how I think she perceives me when I leave for work. At least I have three strips on my shoulders.

Clearly, the technology and security protocols failed on many occasions. And that goes for TSA and numerous airlines.

And yet on this and other forums, you'll have guys whining and moaning about having to introduce themselves to the Captain and show credentials (even when they have a seat in the back). Obviously it varies on each carrier and the exact procedure can be found on the ALPA App, but as a 30 year commuter, I have my credentials ready to go every time I ask for the JS on my Air line or any other. It's the last line of defense for this stuff
